Work and Learn > Code Jumper
- Comprises two main components – a hub, and several pieces of modular, tactile plastic pods with oversized buttons and knobs of high-contrast colours
- The hub device, powered by four AA batteries and consists of a play and stop button, built-in speaker, volume control and four ports that look like traditional headphone jacks
- Each of the pods, which is a smaller device that can be attached to the hub via the ports, represents a line of code with its own ports that can be strung together and connected with additional pods via the “jumper cables” or thick cords, so as to physically create computer code that can tell stories, make music, and even crack jokes
- Comes with free and accessible Code Jumper app downloadable from Microsoft Store, that can also be used with screen readers and refreshable braille displays
- A full library of curricula for coding, including teacher guidance and student activities, is also available online at Code Jumper website
