Suitable for most cases of drop-foot due to e.g. stroke, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, muscular dystrophies, multiple sclerosis, etc. Fits easily in most different every day and formal shoes of the users. The dorsiflexion assistance can be easily adjusted with an Allen key that increases or decreases the spring tension within the hinge to suit the needs of the user, to allow a range of movement to enable natural walking pattern, and better step clearance while climbing stairs, walking down and uphill.

Step-On AFO device for use on the right foot in this example, shown in black. It consists of a base that looks like an insole and joined with the vertical part of the device, with screw provided for adjusting the spring tension. There are 2 Velcro straps placed around the vertical top and middle of the device for fastening it around the user's calf.
